How Energoonz works

Symbols cascade to form wins of three or more in a row, horizontally or vertically, on a 5x5 grid. The Plasma Ball wild substitutes for any symbol. Winning symbols are removed and new ones cascade in, and a win multiplier increases at each new drop. Play'n GO released Energoonz in November 2013 as the first game in what became the Reactoonz series, and it is still the most direct version of the idea: cascade, multiply, cascade again.

The win multiplier

Every cascade on a spin raises the multiplier applied to the next win. A spin that cascades five or six times is paying its later wins at several times their base value. Because the grid is small, long cascades are less common than in the 7x7 games that followed, but each one is worth more in relative terms. The multiplier resets when the cascades stop.

The full-clear prize

If all symbols are removed from the grid on one spin, the game pays 1,000x the total bet. It is the headline prize of the base game and it needs every symbol on the grid to be cleared through cascades. The demo shows how close a typical spin gets: usually a few symbols are left in a corner, which is the gap between an ordinary cascade and the full clear.

The bonus game

The bonus is a set of free rounds, triggered when a column with BONUS behind it is fully cleared. A multiplier is set by the number of cleared BONUS columns, and all wins in the bonus are multiplied by it. During the bonus a different symbol set appears, wins need five or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid, and five or more energy containers award up to 20 additional bonus rounds.

What to watch in the demo

Check how many symbols are left when a round ends. It shows how far a typical spin is from the full clear. Also look at the BONUS columns: clearing one column is the common trigger, and the multiplier only rises when more than one is cleared on the same spin, which is the rarer and more valuable case.
